Welcome to the Team: Luisa Masi Joins NightMuse as Student Assistant

We are pleased to welcome Luisa Masi to the NightMuse research team as a student assistant to Petra Zeller Dotlačilová. Luisa's six-month employment in the project is supported by the ‘Stay-on-Track’ scheme, a special line of funding provided by the Office of the Vice President for Research at the University of Basel that is aimed at highly qualified female postdoctoral researchers in the early stages of motherhood. This support measure is intended to help researchers maintain their focus on high-quality research. We look forward to working with her and to the valuable support she will provide.

Here's a short biographical note:

"I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and History at the University of Basel. Following my Italian roots, I spent a semester of my Master’s studies in Bologna, where I improved my Italian and took seminars in Performance Studies. Currently, I am pursuing an interdisciplinary Master’s in European Global Studies. The 'NightMuse' project particularly interests me, as I grew up in a musical household with a jazz musician father and a classical singer mother. For many years, I was part of various ensembles at the Basel Music Academy with my violin, and I still pursue my passion for dance through jazz ballet. My interests are diverse; who knows where the future will lead me, perhaps into musicology? As part of the 'Night Muse' project, I support Petra Zeller Dotlačilová as a research assistant in source research and transcription. This position allows me to combine my various interests within an academic context."
